WELCOME BACK!

Dear NGC Member,

The time to welcome you back to your home away from home is fast approaching! The sun is shining, and the temperature climbed to a balmy 50 +/- degrees today.

We have been working diligently on repairing, cleaning, painting, and readying your club for reopening. Weather permitting, the golf course will be open on Saturday and Sunday. The use of carts will be determined on Friday, depending on weather and (more importantly) golf course conditions, and we will notify you then.

Green Superintendent, Jeff Hemphill, has reported that areas of snow remain around the course, as well as debris, which needs to be cleaned up from the winter. Jeff and his crew will be working to take care of as much as possible before Saturday.

We will be offering takeout Lunch, Wednesday through Sunday and takeout Dinner, on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for the first few weeks. A survey is going to be sent to you regarding Easter Sunday, so we may determine whether to serve in-house, or provide takeout holiday meals.

On Wednesday, March 17, Chef Joe will be offering some great Irish fare takeout specials, for the celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day. As the year progresses and more and more Members are vaccinated, we hope to return to some semblance of normalcy. That normalcy will hopefully bring entertainment events, wine dinners, and the like, back for you to enjoy.

When indoor dining resumes, in April, we plan to set up an area for those who have been fully vaccinated, to enjoy their dining experience, along with other fully vaccinated Members. All who choose to dine in that area will be required to provide documentation that they have received both of their Moderna/Pfizer vaccines, or the one shot of the J and J vaccine. If you bring family members or guests, they too will need to show proof of vaccination to enter that special area.

We hope that this idea will help those who have been vaccinated to enjoy an additional layer of comfort when they visit the Club.

There have not been any changes to the New York State mandates, as far as mask wearing and social distancing, so your Club will continue to enforce these mandates until they are amended. We continue to ask that you do everything in your power to keep yourself and your fellow Members and staff members safe and healthy.
